He was born and raised in coastal North Carolina; it’s the sort of place with sandy soil you can’t forget. He spent a lot of time on my Granddad’s farm. And the things he will always remember is sitting in his den listening to stories and there always being one too many logs on the fire. His photography exists somewhere between that country living and city ideals. Images with roots and connections but excited about big lights and tall buildings.

“After you graduate, you feel pretty charged and then you quickly find out that nobody cares about you or your work…Life hits you hard in the face, or at least that was my experience.”

'' Hello, I'm Maddie.''

Maddie the dog, of ‘Maddie on Things’ fame, is traveling across America with owner Theron Humphrey and looking for friends. Maddie became famous for her ability to balance on things shortly after she was rescued, but this new series, “four by three,” is all about their adventures in America’s back-country. Believe it or not, but the duo will be travelling by motorcycle most of the time – Maddie will be sitting in a sidecar right alongside Theron the whole time!

This is one of the art work done by Benjamin Von Wong, a photographer who motivated by creative challenges and want to create a meaningful art.

WHY I CHOOSE HIM?

'' Sharks are almost always depicted as menacing and terrifying, yet it is humans that are responsible for killing them in the millions just to make soup. I wanted to create a series of images that would help break those stereotypes and show that it is possible for us to co-exist together in perfect harmony. '' 

This is what he had said. He has become more notorious for his epic photography by challenging the creative.He captures viewers with a hyper-realistic art style: an innovative fusion of realistic photography and special effects. He is always full of passion to do what he want to overcome the impossible.He try to grab the attention of audiences through fantastical concepts and compelling compositions.Although there is so much impossible that talking pictures with shark under the sea, but he did it by his passion. Shooting photo, bringing in special effects,such as pyrotechnics.His goal is to evoke powerful emotions and a genuine interest in what is happening in the image. This is so amazing, and yet inspirational. He even showing you step by step how he reaches more intensity with special effect, move on and study how the artist modifies and completes an image with fantastic black ink splotches in Photoshop.

Neil Krug

The artist i choose is Neil Krug , this is one of his work  '' PULP ART BOOK V1 '' .

This is a multi-media collaboration between photographer Neil Krug and model Joni Harbeck and is now the subject of the artists’ first monograph. This art book split into several vignettes ranging from a spaghetti western theme to a Bonnie and Clyde revival and to the struggles of a 1950s housewife.Old LP jackets, Giallo posters, vintage book covers, and B-movie cinema themes have defined their taste for this project. Initially they set out to capture something simple and sexy; as the shoots progressed, however, natural story lines emerged. The resulting work captures the smell of those decades and expresses them in a fresh way.

Why I choose his work ?

I like the way he express his work. His works was always full of suprise, and yet colorful. His works look interesting by using different kind of elements and story telling. The ways he shoot and present the photo is always drive us to the feeling that he want to express.The ''Pulp art book volume one '' , these series tell the story of each character, and will be expanded in subsequent volumes. He choose pulp paper to represent this work since the inspiration of the pulp theme is actually comes from the collective appreciation of societal life and the artistic expressions of the 1960s and 70s.

CREATIVE THINKING CLASS

Creative Thinking is the process we use to reflect on assess and judge the assumption underlying our own and others ideas and efforts.

Components of Critical Thinking include we can identifying and challenging assumptions.Recognizing the importance of context.Imagining and exploring alternatives and also developing reflective skepticism.

From Creative Thinking class,I learn about that the ways we solve the problems can be more,for example,mind mapping and brainstorming can make us find out many creative ways to solve our problems.Creative thinking is the process we use to develop ideas that are unique,useful and worthy of further elaboration.

Breaking the rules is one of the fun and creative i found in this class.This is because i think if all the things we just do follow the rules,it will like just bored and formal.

All rules are made up. Are you living by rules that fit your values? Are you living the life you want or living someone else’s life?

''Conformity is the killer of creativity'' 

Conforming to rules set down by anyone other than yourself, based on your values and what is most important to you is stopping you from living and working on your own terms.Blindly conforming is like getting on the train to mediocrity central.

So, lets us

To sum up,i really being while attend this creative thinking class since there is fun and no so many homework hahaha.

Analogical thinking

Paper fan 

The fan, which is made of thin bamboo strips, thin silks, feathers, leaves of sunflowers, and papers, is a traditional Chinese handicraft used for cooling. Fans, for they can bring people cool, were called "Shelter from the Sun" in ancient China.China is always regarded as the kingdom of fans. In the history, fans made in China were sold to Japan and European and American countries, where Chinese fans exerted certain influences on the local fan-production and palace rites.Fans enjoy a long history of about 3 to 4 thousand years in China. Fans, originally were not used for cool, but for sheltering from the sun and keeping off sands for emperors during their outgoing inspections.Other than cooling in summer, they can act as tools during the artistic performance drama, dance and other folk arts. In the ancient times, dancers liked to hold fans while dancing, and the preference has been handed down until now. The fan dance has become a dancing art with distinctive Chinese characteristics. 


As time goes , there's invention of mechanical fan.

Mechanical Fan

Mechanical Fans are wondrous contraptions which when activated spontaneously "create" wind. No one is quite sure how this is done, and it is a mystery that has baffled scientists for years, but the mechanical fan is a celebrated device worldwide, with the exception of countries which have a consistently cold climate, such as Alaska or Russia.The history of the mechanical fan starts in England, in the Middle Ages. At the time the only way to produce wind at will was very tiresome and awkward. Hand held fans were used at the time, and whilst they could cool people down quite well, the constant waving of the hand caused fatigue in many people, and sometimes even injury. 67% of people who used hand held fans in the middle ages broke or fractured at least one bone in their wrist during this period.
