The Double Exposed Urban Portraits
French film photographer Louis Dazy captures double-exposed photos of individuals and urban settings. The currently Melbourne, Australia-based photographer has a knack for creating an ethereal world within his images, producing poignant shots that blend imagery and an appearance that merges worlds. Done in the darkroom and simply the film photo-taking process, Dazy double exposes his shots, unearthing images of friends and passerbys bathed in fluorescent light and emitting moods that sway between melancholy, pensivity and seduction.
Why I choose him?
He choose an interesting way to shoot for his photo which is double exposure. Multiple exposure is a superimposition of two or more exposure to create a single image, and double exposure has a corresponding meaning in respect of two images.The exposure values may or may not be identical to each other. So, here is a theme he choose to use which is individuals and urban setting. In his pictures, you can largely feel the emotions that what he want to express with the landscapes of urban setting. And he also make full use of the color of the night lighting that just nice to fit the emotions of the individual.
