Oleg Oprisco is a brilliantly talented photographer from Lviv, Ukraine, who creates stunning surreal images of elegant women in fairy-tale or dream-like settings. There’s one significant difference, however, that sets him apart from other artists who create similar work – Oprisco shoots using old-school film photography.


He is a fine art photographer and each of his photos is a scene from real life. That is the perfect source of inspiration for him as there is so much beauty in our everyday life. He will observe the world around him to inspire his next photograph. Of course he add many of his own changes to the reality, such as characters, props, location, and light… However, he is constantly involved in a search for inspiration and ideas.

Oleg's work has its own artistic among other. His work is far from ''popular'', its quite the contrary. He shots landscapes, object, simple and no need to be think. His work is lightweight, and it carries no need to thought. His pictures effect emotions and feeling of happiness, sadness or admiration, not included a specific message. His work can be viewed on both emotional and thought-provoking levels. Viewer can either admire the color. shape and light or he can deeper search for the meaning that Oleg wanted to show.

Captured using Kiev 6C and Kiev 88 medium format cameras, Oleg uses a variety of lenses to get the effect he desires.

With twelve shots captured to each roll of film, he’s also unable to review the captured photographs until the film is developed.While the photographs are not created using Photoshop, he does admit to using them to digitally modify the images.Not to create the sets or resize the props, merely to correct the colouring in the final images and remove specks of dust from the frame.
